Library of Catholic Theological Faculty
New visual identity and branding for the Library of Catholic Theological Faculty at Charles University.
New visual identity and branding for the Library of Catholic Theological Faculty at Charles University in Prague. The identity includes a brand new variable word mark as well as a pictorial mark inspired by the well–known dome of the main building. Both logotypes are designed to function seamlessly throughout the identity in various configurations separately or combined. The logo is set in Maax in all of its variations ― it functions in abbreviated and full form in both Czech and English.
The identity includes a brand new variable word mark as well as a pictorial mark inspired by the well–known dome of the main building.
The logotype can be split in half anywhere, responding entirely to the visual context.
The variable spacing between the individual letters of the logotype creates an imaginative bookshelf ― newly established space can perform as a blank canvas for both text or an image. The logotype can be split in half anywhere, responding entirely to the visual context. The logo has been optimised to perform across various platforms, therefore the identity can be implemented across the library’s communications, including stickers, posters or bags, using almost exclusively white–on–black colour scheme. The visual identity fits the initial graphic intention by being subtle, restrained and very traditional at first sight, yet with a quirky playful twist and ever so slightly eccentric visual solution from time to time.
