Palach 2020
Visual campaign and identity for the Faculty of Arts at Charles University commemorating 51th anniversary of Jan Palach’s self–immolation.

Every year the visual branding for Palach events is refreshed. This time — recasting the original branding with a new, vibrant palette — visuals have come alive in an eye–catching bright red complemented with a clear white and blue.
Visual campaign created to honour and commemorate student Jan Palach and the 51th anniversary of his political protest and the following tragic sacrifice.
Every year the visual branding for Palach events is refreshed. This time — recasting the original branding with a new, vibrant palette — visuals have come alive in an eye–catching bright red complemented with a clear white and blue, giving a sense of national pride. The branding continues to follow a previously established visual style by reusing Maax in a streamlined, all caps style for the dates, schedules and additional information and a bold, expressive “Palach” set above the portrait. The illustration itself respectfully displays Palach illuminated by a bright blue light with his eyes closed.
